PROBLEM CAUSING BULLETIN:
Cracks have been found in the weld areas where the retainer (the part that holds the element from going into the engine) is welded onto the filter frame.
INSPECTION:
Remove element and inspect retainer. If retainer has large aluminum diamond shaped opening 1-3/4" x 3/4" (ones that you can stick your finger through), then the filter assembly is affected by this bulletin.
COMPLIANCE:
